SCHOOL HOURS AND PUNCTUALITY
For Preschool students, regular school hours begin at 7:30 A.M. and end at 6 P.M., though parents are welcome to pick students from campus starting at 3:30 P.M. All students must be picked up by 6 P.M.
For Grade School students, regular school hours begin at 7:30 A.M. and end at 4:30 P.M., though parents are welcome to begin picking students from campus starting at 3:30 P.M.
For Junior High School students, regular school hours begin at 7:00 A.M. and end at 3:30 P.M.
School Entry
Punctuality is very essential in the life of every school going child. When late, students are at risk of missing integral segments of their lessons, and pose added challenges to their instructors. School gates will be promptly locked at 9:00 A.M. every morning. Any student arriving on campus after that time will be subject to approval by the BenStel Security Team before entering campus. All late students must also report to the Administrative Office to receive a Late Entry Form before reporting to class.
For the safety of all students and staff, parents must enter campus through the Main Entry Door. We also ask that parents not accompany students into the classroom blocks at entry time, as this causes disruption and increases risk of the spread of Covid-19.
School Dismissal
Grade school and Junior High School parents who fail to pick their children by 5:30 P.M. will be subject to added fees to cover the cost of the additional supervision. Parents will be required to pay such fees before the beginning of the following school week or their children may be subject to dismissal from class.
Parents who egregiously and/or consistently violate BenStel’s school dismissal policy may be subject to the permanent dismissal of their children from BenStel. For example, unless in the case of an emergency, any parent who fails to pick up their child by 6 P.M. may be found to be in egregious violation of this policy and subject to discipline and/or student dismissal.
Students will only be released to those who have been pre-approved by their parents to pick them. Students will only be released to a person who is at least 13 years old. Parents shall inform the Administrative Team as soon as possible in the event of an emergency, or if they task an un-approved person to pick up their children.
For the safety of all students and staff, parents must enter campus through the Main Entry Gate and leave through the Exit Gate (as directed by the BenStel Security Team). We also ask that parents not enter the classroom to pick up their children as this causes disruption and increases risk of the spread of Covid-19. Upon entering campus to pick up their children, parents should wait outside the classroom until teachers escort their students out.
