Visitors
The safety and security of our children is our highest priority. All gates will be closed and guarded after entry times and the only access to the building will be through the Main Gate. All visitors during school hours must enter the school through the Main Gate and leave through the Exit Gate. Visitors must report to the Administrative Office to sign in on BenStel’s school visitor register and obtain a visitor’s pass before proceeding through campus, or the visitor may be arrested for trespassing.
All persons entering campus may be subject to a personal search and examination of their hand carried possessions. Your cooperation with this safety precaution is a precondition of entry. We ask that parents do not try to enter buildings to pick up their children at dismissal time. Teachers will escort children to their awaiting parents at dismissal time.
Emergency Information Forms
It is essential that BenStel have up to date contact information from parents in case of an emergency involving your child. Parent must provide BenStel updated telephone numbers, home address, place of business address, and emergency phone numbers of relatives, friends, or neighbours who may need to be contacted in case of an emergency. This information will be collected from parents at the beginning of every school year. Parents are asked to inform BenStel if any of the requested information changes throughout the course of the school year. All persons listed on the emergency form must be 18 years of age or older.
Valuables
All students entering campus may be subject to a personal search and examination of their hand carried possessions. Student cooperation with this safety precaution is a precondition of entry. Students and parents are asked not to bring valuable items or large sums of money to school. Students are solely responsible for any valuable or personal items they bring to school, and bring them at their own risk. Students are also responsible for any books and instructional materials assigned to them.
